US President Joe Biden’s campaign has been halted due to a COVID-19 infection, while his rival carries on despite a near-death experience.

President Joe Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, have both been infected with COVID-19, with the President reported to be suffering from “mild symptoms.”

Biden is now recovering in isolation as he insists he continues to “work to get the job done for the American people.”

Meanwhile, Biden’s rival in the Presidential race, Donald Trump, went straight back out in front of thousands of fans despite being shot in the ear just days before.

During an attempted assassination of the former President, Trump received a wound on the ear from gunfire at one of his rallies.

In an attempt to appear as mentally and physically strong as his rival, President Biden posted a message on X. One post read, “I’m sick.”

Replying to the post, Biden continued, “…of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here”.

The question on everyone’s mind is whether President Biden is strong enough to lead the USA into four more years and what effect a Trump Presidency will have on the UK.

Former Prime Minister Liz Truss gave her opinion on the matter while on a trip to the USA for the Republican National Convention, claiming she believed Joe Biden was a “Weak President.”

Despite this, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is known to be a supporter of Biden over Donald Trump, recently claiming that the Labour Party and the Democrats were similar.

“I am appalled by the shocking scenes at President Trump’s rally and we send him and his family our best wishes,” Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer posted on X.

“Political violence in any form has no place in our societies and my thoughts are with all the victims of this attack,” Sir Starmer continued.

Donald Trump has hinted in the past that European countries, and Ukraine in particular, may not be given as much support as Biden is currently offering.

President Biden has so far given $107 billion to the Ukraine government in support of its war against Russia, which many believe could spread across Europe unless Ukraine win back its land.
Starmer Will Work With USA
The Prime Minister, who also supports Ukraine funding, insisted that he would work with whoever wins the presidential election. This comes after Trump announced controversial figure J.D. Vance as his running mate.
Britain an “Islamist” Country
J.D. Vance recently joked that the UK could be “the first Islamist country” to get its hands on nuclear weapons, which British political leaders did not take lightly.
Republicans Reject British Media
Republican and Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Green also threw shade at the British media, claiming they are the reason the US is divided.
Special Relationship Affected
This lack of willingness to cooperate with the UK and the rest of Europe, as shown by Trump and his supporters, could dramatically affect the UK’s special relationship with the US if Trump were to win the election.

Despite this, the Prime Minister and his cabinet assure the media that Britain will do everything possible to keep the special relationship alive.
