Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has warned the public that the safety of the UK would be in jeopardy if a Labour government were to come to power.

During his pre-election speech, Rishi Sunak used the opportunity to strike fear into the public in a last-ditch attempt to claim their votes.
Going Nuclear
Throughout the speech, Sunak cited various deadly scenarios, including nuclear war, to try and persuade voters to choose Tory despite the polls predicting otherwise.
“Dangerous Times” Ahead
Sunak warned that the UK was facing “the most dangerous times we have seen since the Cold War.”
Double-Standards Issue
Sunak’s warning could be met with criticism, considering Chancellor Jeremy Hunt decided not to increase defence spending in the Spring Budget this year.
The UK in Transformation
Sunak also declared that he was “convinced” the coming years “will be some of the most dangerous yet most transformational that our country has ever known.”
Starmer Not Strong Enough?
Sunak didn’t hold back from slamming Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer throughout the speech, arguing that he’s too weak to lead the country through these alleged changes.
Illegal Immigration as a Danger
Just weeks after it was declared that Sunak’s controversial Rwanda Bill would be passed through British law, Sunak cited illegal immigration as a potential danger.
Immigration is an “Intolerable Strain”
Sunak insisted that illegal immigration, which has shown no signs of stopping since his Rwanda Bill, is “placing an intolerable strain on our security and our sense of fairness.”
Sunak Wants Action on Illegal Immigration
Sunak declared that the country must “act now” and “act boldly” or else illegal immigration is going to get worse, despite the Tories having 14 years to clamp down on the issue.
A Rwanda Bill Boomerang
The Rwanda Bill, which seeks to send illegal immigrants from the UK to Rwanda, has been going back and forth between MPs and the House of Lords for months.
Rwanda Bill as a “Deterrent”
Now the Bill has finally been passed, Sunak declared flights could take off within the next two months, insisting it would deter migrants from wanting to cross the Channel.
Record-Breaking Immigration Numbers
Despite these hopes, the UK has seen a record tenth consecutive day of small boats with migrants entering the shores.
Starmer’s Immigration Plan Revealed
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has repeatedly labelled the Rwanda Bill as a “gimmick” to get votes, recently issuing his own plans to reduce illegal immigration in the UK.
Border Control Taskforce
Sir Starmer, who’s tipped by the polls to be the UK’s next Prime Minister, has promised a new taskforce of special investigators will be created to detain people-smuggling gangs.
Starmer Plans to Rip up Rwanda Bill
The Labour leader also declared that no Rwanda flight would take off under a Labour government, showing his strong opposition to the Bill.
Questioning Tory Record on National Security
Responding to Sunak’s pre-election speech, Starmer said, “This government talks about national security, but what’s its record?”
Taxpayers’ Money Wasted
Starmer slammed the Conservative government for wasting billions of taxpayers’ money on “procurement” while undermining the armed forces.
Labour Party Has “Changed”
“It’s a choice between a changed Labour Party that puts the country first and party second or continuing with this government, the chaos and division that’s been going on for so long,” Starmer revealed.
Sunak’s Election Strategy
Sunak’s mentioning of change while citing the public’s fears of nuclear war and illegal immigration show his tactics to worry the UK voters of the unknown, to get votes.
