Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK and certified Donald Trump supporter, has reacted to the news that Joe Biden has dropped out of the presidential race.
Biden Drops Out
On the night Biden’s decision to drop out was announced, Nigel Farage called out the Prime Minister for his previous comments on the President.
Questioning the Prime Minister
Farage questioned the Prime Minister’s decision to imply that Biden was fit to run for President despite criticisms that he is too old.
Biden “On Really Good Form”
The new Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, met with the US President during his first weeks in office and claimed that Biden was “on really good form.”
Biden “Not up to the Job”
Farage argued that Sir Starmer “was just being nice” and claimed that Biden had “not been up to the job for years.”
TV Debate With Trump
“It was becoming impossible, wasn’t it? I mean, the debate was bad enough. They managed to quell that,” Farage said, referring to the TV debate between Trump and Biden.
Biden’s Blunders
“But of course, they couldn’t hide him in a bunker when it came to the NATO Summit. And, you know, calling Zelensky ‘Putin’, calling Kamala Harris ‘Trump’, and it’s just getting worse and worse,” Farage continued.
Struggling With Stairs
Farage also took a jibe at Biden’s alleged struggle to walk up and down stairs. He claimed that Biden was “Barely able to walk up a flight of steps into an airplane.”
Alleged Democrat Cover-up
Farage accused the Democrats of “covering up” Biden’s frailties, although he didn’t specify how long Biden had been allegedly unfit for office.
Farage’s Accusations
According to Farage, “And look, they’ve been covering up for this guy for years. He’s not been up to the job for years.”
Keeping up Us-British Relations
The leader of Reform UK lambasted the Prime Minister for his attempt to keep up American-British relations by claiming that Biden was still fit for the presidency.
Starmer “Just Being Nice”
“Goodness knows why Sir Keir Starmer, our Prime Minister, who met with him, said everything was fine. You know, I guess he was just being nice,” Farage said.
The Special Relationship
Sir Starmer has insisted he would work with anyone who wins the US presidential election and has repeatedly stressed the importance of the UK’s special relationship with the United States.
Farage Flees to America
Farage flew out to America for the Republican National Convention just weeks after being elected the MP for Clacton, Essex.
Farage’s Criticism
Farage received criticism from the media for his decision to fly out to America and “support” his friend Donald Trump after the attempted assassination of the former President.
Farage Pushed for an Answer
While he was at the Republican National Convention, Farage was asked whether Trump had personally invited the Reform leader out to America after the shooting.
Farage’s Alleged Invite
According to Farage, Trump didn’t personally invite him, but he insisted that members of Trump’s team said “it was right” he flew out in support.
What About the People of Clacton?
Farage was asked why he was not busy helping his new constituents in Clacton, to which he replied he was allowed to take time off under certain circumstances.
Conservative Support for Trump
Farage was joined by a number of former Conservative MPs, including former Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Liz Truss, who were also at the Republican National Convention showing support for Trump.
