Nigel Farage claimed that “Parts” of the UK’s cities are “Islamist” in response to J.D. Vance’s controversial assertion that the UK was an “Islamist” country.
Farage’s Assertion
Nigel Farage has asserted that “Parts” of the UK’s cities are Islamist during his visit to the USA to support his friend Donald Trump.
Farage Jets Off
After an attempted assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Nigel Farage jetted off to the States to show his support for the former president, leaving his new constituents in Clacton, Essex, behind.
UK Not an Islamist Nation
When being interviewed, Farage claimed that the UK was “not an Islamist nation” but insisted that some “parts” of the country’s cities are “Islamist.”
Vice Presidential Candidate’s Comments
Farage’s comments came after Trump’s new running mate, J.D. Vance, claimed that the UK was an “Islamist” nation.
Trump’s New Running Mate
Trump recently announced that his new running mate would be controversial figure J.D. Vance, who made a daring statement about the UK in a speech after Trump made the announcement.
Vance’s Alleged Discussion
According to J.D. Vance, “I was talking about, you know: what is the first truly Islamist country that will get a nuclear weapon?”
UK as an “Islamist” Country
“Maybe it is Iran, maybe Pakistan already kind of counts, and then we finally decided that it’s actually the UK – since Labour just took over,” Vance said.
British Politicians Respond
Vance’s controversial opinion caused quite a stir back in the UK among Labour politicians, although Reform UK leader Nigel Farage didn’t seem to mind too much.
Farage’s Thoughts
Farage said, “It [the UK] is not an Islamist nation, but there are parts of our cities that are,” while being interviewed by The News Agents Podcast.
Sectarian Voting
“When you see sectarian voting you need to have a real think about what is going on… people elected on religious lines. That is not the same as Islamist,” he claimed.
Flying Out For Trump’s Support
Farage flew out to the USA while claiming to be supporting his “friend” Donald Trump after a shooter nearly took the former President’s life.
Who Invited You?
When asked whether Trump had asked him to fly to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention, Farage claimed that Trump’s “team” thought it was right that he be there.
Farage’s Priorities
In the interview, Farage couldn’t name a single person who invited him out there, and now he is facing backlash for not serving the people of Clacton in his first month after winning the election.
Starmer’s Response
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer insisted that despite the Labour Party being twinned with the Democrats, he would still work with the Republicans if they won the election, including Vance.
Rayner Hits Out
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner hit out at Vance’s comments that the UK was an “Islamist” nation under Labour, claiming that Vance was “beating up” the UK.
Rayner “Looking Forward” to Meeting Vance
Despite this, Rayner admitted that Vance had said “quite a lot of fruity things” in the past, and she was “looking forward” to meeting him and Donald Trump.
Foreign Secretary’s Response
Foreign Secretary David Lammy took a similar approach, highlighting the similarities between him and Vance’s background.
Finding Common Ground
Lammy said, “We share a similar working-class background with addiction issues in our family… And we’re both Christians, so I think I can find common ground with JD Vance.”
Trump Predicted to Win
Trump is now predicted to win the US Presidential by a landslide after he survived the assassination attempt.
Comparing Labour With Republicans
Labour, who just won a landslide victory of their own, will find common ground with the Republicans for that, but the two couldn’t be further apart in terms of policies.
Russia Retreats as Western Allies Greenlight Ukraine’s Offensive
Recent Russian territorial gains in Ukraine could be reversed following a dramatic policy change from the US and Germany. The announcement could see a substantial tactical shift from both sides in the coming months. Russia Retreats as Western Allies Greenlight Ukraine’s Offensive
